I’m Alex Davila, filmmaker, producer and founder of CONICAL. You may know me as the umbrella-carrying time traveller from Time Travel New Zealand.
I bring the same care for story, character and detail to work for clients, supported by a creative team shaped around each project. My background spans film, animation, games and virtual production.

How much does AI video production cost?
The quote depends on the concept, duration, visual complexity, available references, review process and final versions. Send Alex a short brief and your budget range so we can recommend a practical approach.
How long will my film take?
We agree the delivery schedule before production. The time required depends on the scope, visual development and review stages. If you have a fixed launch date, include it in your first message.
Can you help with the idea and script?
Yes. CONICAL can develop the concept, story and visual direction as part of the project. You can start with an audience and a goal rather than a completed script.
Can you work with our agency or in-house team?
Yes. We can develop a film with you or take on a defined production brief. We’ll agree responsibilities, review stages and deliverables before work begins.
What about formats and commercial use?
We agree the required formats and versions in the scope. We also consider supplied assets, music, voices, any real-person likenesses and intended commercial usage, and identify relevant limitations before delivery.
Are you based in Auckland?
Yes. CONICAL is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Alex works directly with clients around the country, with remote reviews and project conversations arranged to suit.
