Hi, I’m Alex Davila, filmmaker, creative director and founder of CONICAL.
My background spans more than a decade of filmmaking, animation, games and immersive storytelling. I bring that production experience to the decisions that matter: what to show, how to frame it, how the story moves and how the finished piece feels.
You work directly with me, with specialist support shaped around the needs of your project. We use generative AI alongside editing, animation and visual effects where each approach serves the brief.
What is AI video production?
It uses generative AI to create or transform visual material as part of a video production. At CONICAL, that work is guided by human creative direction and brought together through scripting, editing, sound and finishing.
How much does an AI video cost?
We quote each project around the agreed scope. Cost depends on the idea, shot count, runtime, product or character consistency, finishing, review rounds and delivery formats. Send your brief and budget range so we can discuss a realistic approach.
How long will production take?
Timing depends on complexity, approvals and the amount of visual development required. Share your deadline at the start, and we will confirm a realistic schedule before production begins.
Can you keep our product and branding consistent?
We use your approved references and brand assets to guide the work. Exact packaging, logos and repeatable character details may need compositing or other production techniques. We discuss these requirements early and test critical shots where needed.
Do you work outside Auckland?
Yes. CONICAL is based in Auckland and works with organisations across New Zealand. Creative development, reviews and delivery can be handled remotely, with any filming or site visits scoped separately.
What should we send you?
A short description of your idea, intended audience, where the video will appear, any references you like, your deadline and an indicative budget. If you have brand guidelines, product imagery or a script, include those too.
