Put people
inside the experience.

Custom VR development for training, product demonstrations and immersive storytelling. We turn a business brief into an experience people can explore and interact with.

Tesmec / Industrial VR

Walk around the machine.
Understand its scale.

How do you demonstrate a surface miner without transporting it to every exhibition? For Tesmec, CONICAL recreated the equipment as a detailed, life-size virtual model that people could explore in a headset.

Viewers can move around the machine and examine it from different viewpoints. We built and optimised the 3D model for an application the team could take to demonstrations and events.

For manufacturers and industrial sales teams, VR can make large or complex products easier to understand.

What we create

Virtual reality
with a purpose.

For learning and development teams, industrial businesses, visitor attractions and creative agencies.

Learn by doing

Training simulations

Let staff practise a scenario in a controlled digital setting. We work with your subject experts to define the tasks, feedback and learning objectives.

Show what is possible

Product demonstrations

Bring equipment, products or environments into a headset for exhibitions, sales presentations and design conversations.

Create a sense of presence

Immersive storytelling

Build a world around the viewer for visitor experiences, cultural storytelling and location-based entertainment.

Selected VR work

Experience you
can look into.

Examples from our work in staff learning, industrial visualisation and original storytelling.

Production & delivery

Built for the way
people will use it.

The headset is one part of the brief. We also plan for the environment, user flow, onboarding and how the experience will be operated.

01 / Define

Device & interaction planning

We agree the target hardware, controller or hand interactions, physical space and performance requirements before production.

02 / Build

Prototype & production

Test the key interaction, then create the 3D environments, animation, interface and application logic the experience needs.

03 / Deliver

Testing & handover

Review comfort, readability and performance on the agreed devices. Deployment, operator guidance and ongoing support are scoped with you.

Good questions

Before we
get started.

Can you develop for Meta Quest?

We can scope experiences for Meta Quest and other suitable VR devices. The exact model, interaction features and deployment method are agreed for the project. A new headset announcement does not automatically mean an existing application will run unchanged.

What does a VR project cost?

Cost depends on the number of scenarios, level of interaction, 3D content, target devices, testing and support. Send Alex your goal, timeframe and indicative budget so we can suggest a practical scope.

Can an existing training programme become a VR experience?

Yes, we can explore which parts benefit from spatial practice or interaction. Your subject specialists help define accurate content and assessment requirements; a prototype can test the approach before full production.

Do you work with clients outside Auckland?

Yes. CONICAL is based in Auckland and works with organisations across New Zealand. Site visits, installation and on-site support can be included in the agreed scope.

What is the difference between VR and a 360° video?

A 360° video lets a viewer look around recorded or rendered footage. An interactive VR application can let them move, make choices and interact with objects. We help choose the format that suits the brief.
